Cooling, ventilation and energy systems for facilities that never switch off

Frank EcoTech Solutions designs industrial HVAC and data centre cooling, and reviews existing plant to find where energy is being lost.

Where cooling and ventilation systems lose energy

Most of the waste is not a fault anyone would report. The plant runs, the space holds temperature, and the bill is simply higher than it needs to be.

  • Plant sized for the worst day

Equipment selected for peak load spends most of the year at part load, where it is often least efficient.

  • Controls left as commissioned

Setpoints and schedules set on handover day rarely match how the building is used years later.

  • Heat thrown away

Heat is rejected outdoors from one system while another part of the same site pays to make it.

Energy use is decided early in design

Most of the energy a cooling or ventilation system will ever use is fixed by decisions made early: the temperatures it runs at, how much free cooling it can use, whether the heat it removes is thrown away or put to work.

Energy is treated as a design input from the first sketch, alongside reliability and cost. On existing sites, the same thinking shows where plant can be run, controlled or upgraded to use less.
